"We are not a crisis service, we are what comes next.”

Supporting women to rebuild, recover, and move forward - IWP

Intersectionality Women’s Programmes CIC (IWP) is a survivor-led further education and empowerment provider. We support women and girls aged 14+ who are rebuilding their lives after experiences such as domestic abuse, hardship, exclusion, or trauma.

Who We Support:

Our programmes are designed for those who are often overlooked, including:

  • Women with no recourse to public funds

  • Neurodiverse women (including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and Asperger’s)

  • Disabled women

  • Women facing multiple and intersecting barriers

  • Those who have not been supported effectively by traditional services

These groups face a significantly higher risk of harm. For example, 19.1% of neurodiverse individuals report experiencing domestic abuse, the highest rate among all disability groups (ONS, 2021).

Our Approach:

We provide a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment where:

  • Learning and personal development are supported

  • Confidence is rebuilt at a manageable pace

  • Women feel respected, understood, and not judged

Our programmes bring together education, wellbeing, and empowerment, recognising that rebuilding takes time and the right environment.

Joining a Programme:

We welcome referrals from:

  • Professionals

  • Partner organisations

  • Individuals (self-referral)

Once a referral is received, a member of our team will make contact to arrange a short conversation. This is an opportunity to:

  • Ask questions

  • Understand your needs

  • Explore whether IWP is the right fit

If appropriate, you will be invited to an in-person meeting, where we will work together to plan your next steps.

Your Journey with IWP:

Whether you are:

  • Ready to gain qualifications

  • Looking to build confidence and skills

  • Or simply need a safe place to begin again

We will support you at a pace that feels right for you.

Our Commitment:

Every step of your journey is handled with:

  • Care

  • Dignity

  • Confidentiality

You will not be rushed, judged, or expected to fit into a one-size-fits-all approach.
